New Water Channel Constructed on Jalan Menceng Raya

West Jakarta Water Resource Sub-agency constructs new water channel o n Jalan Menceng Raya, in front of Melati Alley, RT 03/11, Tegal Alur Urban Village, Kalideres Sub-district.

Now the progress reaches 20 percent

Kalideres Sub-district's Water Channel Implementer Unit Head, Zulkarnain, said the new water channel is constructed along 100 meters by using 60x60 cm u-ditch.

"Water channel construction is responding residents' request during Musrenbang forum in 2023. Previously, there was no water channel at the location," he said, Saturday (4/27).

Dredging of Connecting Channel on Jalan Tabah I Completed

He added that the construction has been running since several days ago by deploying seven personnel.

"Now the progress reaches 20 percent and is targeted to complete in two months. Hopefully this will prevent inundation during heavy rain," he added.

Achmad Muzani (41), one of local residents, thanked West Jakarta Administration for providing water channel in his area.

"I hope the water will flow to the channel and prevent inundation here," he admitted.
